is the largest data center and San Diego colocation company
American Internet Services has invested over $60 million dollars into two state-of-the-art, carrier-neutral internet San Diego colocation facilities, and stand together as San Diego's premier data centers. Each San Diego colocation facility is equipped with the latest technology, providing N+1 redundancy on all San Diego data center systems and network infrastructure, as well as 24 x 7 x 365 network monitoring, management and technical support.
Our San Diego colocation facilities feature backbone routers, which include dual Cisco 12000 Gigabit Switch Routers and six Cisco 6500-series switch routers, provide multi-path connectivity to our nine tier-one backbone connections. Additional redundant Cisco 7500 aggregation routers provide connectivity to our T1, DS3, OC3, and higher bandwidth clients. Our San Diego data center has Cisco Catalyst 6500 enterprise switching/router hardware, which supports full supervisor capabilities, QOS monitoring, and enhanced TOS switching.
All of our San Diego data center locations are connected via redundant OC48s attached to Cisco 15454 SONET MPPs for the highest levels of redundancy and uptime. OC48 connections to our colocation space at One Wilshire in Los Angeles gives our customers access to 260 additional fiber networks and carriers.
The AC and DC power systems in our San Diego colocation facilities include redundant 500KVA UPS systems and redundant Caterpillar generators. All San Diego colocation UPS systems and generators are serviced regularly and tested semi-annually.
All San Diego data center air conditioning system components offer N+1 redundancy including; chillers, CRAC units and cooling towers. With AIS, data center uptime is never an issue.
As a San Diego colocation company, we understand the critical nature of security for our customer's equipment and have implemented a comprehensive policy for your protection.
